Reverie had its roots in a group of boys who decided to get together and play music, back in 2003. After playing their first gig at Wala Wala, the band never looked back. Having played regular gigs at spots like Balaclava, Timbre and Club Momo, to playing hot events at clubs like Zouk and Ministry of Sound, to having their very own concerts at the Esplanade waterfront and the National University of Singapore, Reverie currently has its regular spot at the M Hotel J Bar on Friday nights and at Bar None at St James Power Station on Saturday Nights. Sixx is a 6 piece hip hop band who came together to emulate the electronic sounds of hip hop. With varying diverse musical backgrounds & extensive gig experiences, the sextet looks set to take over the lion city with their hard edged gritty urban signature sound that combines the spirit of ‘60s and ‘70s soul with the energy of rock and the indelible groove of hip hop sound played with live instruments. Enjoy a fresh new twist to regular pop-rock tunes, and dance to electro rap, drums & bass jungle, jazzy hip & hop, and whatnot. Headed by Christine Sham, Magnetico features sessionist drummer Mohd Noor, multi-instrumentalist bassist Casey Subramaniam, woodwind specialist Leonardo, rock guitar legend Paul Daniel and “Live The Dream” champion Affendi on vocals.
Jack and Rai are two chaps with a rather modest mission: to share. Every single on their debut album, ‘In stores now’, embraces you like an old friend who’s always on time. The album’s title portrays Jack and Rai’s playful natures—they have been yearning to announce that ‘In stores now’ is in stores now—a disposition that you will be grateful for, as you let their music surround you, without ever really having to take it too seriously. You do not have to set aside time to listen to this album; instead, just let it accompany you wherever you go, whatever you do, whichever your mood. And so, true to form, Jack and Rai have a note and lyric for most moments.
